Not to worry, because I can help you make the process a lot easier.

A blog setup involves a series of steps to “build the box”.  What I like to do is complete these steps for you, recording them, and hand you the completed “box” ready for you to concentrate on the creative side of things.

Initial Consultations to Help You Get Started

One of the best parts of the package I’ve got for you is that to help you with your initial blog site choices. In a 30-minute initial consultation we will discuss domain names and hosting companies… so before buying your domain name or signing up for hosting, I suggest you make sure to avail yourself the this consultation, to ensure we get things donein the right order and develop an effective blog, avoiding technical problems. This consultation will help you understand the basics involved in domain and hosting choices.

Themes and Plugin Choices

To save you from worrying about the endless possibilities of choosing a good theme and about which plugins to install while setting up your blog, in my Done-for-You Blog Setup Service I install the ones I consider are essential for the efficient running of your blog. There are many possible blog themes and plugins available in the market now and sometimes you can waste hours of your time trying to figure out which ones to apply on your blog to make it more appealing. To make it easier for you, I will give you recommendations on any further plugins that might suit your application and preferences, as well as help you choose the best blog theme for your taste. These things are essential in making a blog because they will be attracting your followers.

Hand-over Training Session

You’re on the edge of your seat, looking forward to finally owning your own blog!

tech orderWe’re down to the one final touch to make your blogging experience exceptional. Part of the package I offer is a 1-hour one-to-one Skype consultation to walk you through your blog. This consultation period will serve as handover training so that you’ll be able to manage your blog properly. I usually record this session and send it to you so that whenever you get in a flummox, you can get back on track by reviewing the recorded session.

Free yourself from having to learn the technical side of blogging before being able to start sharing your passion.  Instead  start by investing your time in something that brings you joy and enjoyment – getting down to your business of blogging, worry free! Once you have a handle on the day to day running of a blog, changing it, or even setting up another, will be a piece of cake!

That’s a good service to offer, I like it.

I particularly like the personal nature of the offer, enabling you to tailor the blog setup to the individual. I would be interested to know what kind of take up you get on a service like this, and what you charge for it.

I am designing solutions in the technical category too over the next few months, as I see this barrier as a really significant one which gets in the way of success for too many people when trying to establish themselves online.

Hi Ant. I still need to work up my “traffic” to this offer but I’ll keep you in touch. to see the cost, click through to the payment page – I’ve decided to use PayPal straight so you can see the cost then cancel out! I’ve just realised I’m going to add a “lock down your blog” option too…
      Watch this space!

  2. This is a service many people will appreciate, Jennifer, as it’s one of the things that stop them from moving forward. They know what to do, but not the “how.” Your 30 minute consultation is a big plus and I would suggest that you highlight that even more.

This is a great service Jennifer. I wish this had of been on offer way back when I first started blogging. I am sure you will get a great deal of people snapping up your offer.

    • Jennifer says:

Thanks, Carol. I know I had to have some help when I first started so I know there are folks who just want the technical side “dealt with” so they can get on with sharing their passion!

  4. Hi Jennifer,
I’m guessing that your 30 minute consultation is free, but is part of your selling process in that you are then able to allay fears and to show what value for money your system is – a huge time saver for those that just want to be up and running.
I’d like to do something similar myself but don’t feel techie enough to take it on without a couple of months of hard practice.
I like your site – and the niche.

    • Jennifer says:

      Thanks, John.
Umm … actually the 30 minute consult is currently “in the package” once someone has paid but that is a great idea!
I’ll have to re-word my offer. Thank you for highlighting this opportunity!

Hey Jennifer, Have not come across your site before… I offer a DFY service myself, so found this very interesting… I really like the way you have set up your offer and the overall look of your site. I also think this is a great service to offer, as it can be a stumbling block for many. It seems like we have some similar ideas… although you are a bit further ‘down the road’ in applying them 🙂

    • Jennifer says:

      Hi Lynne
Great to meet you. Just popped over to see your site… I think it looks amazing and I love your offer of basic or upgrade.
There are so many options it’s fun to work it all through, don’t you think?

  6. Glen says:

    Excellent post!
I also considered doing some tutorial videos to help people set up their blogs. Great job, keep up the good work.

    Hi Jennifer,

First time I’ve visited your sight, and I am impressed with the look and feel of your site and of course the service that you’re offering is in high demand and your sales page is great also. I really think you have a win-win!

    To your successs,

Almost forgot; Have you ever thought about offering the 30-min consultation as FREE to build your email list (just brainstorming and thinking out loud, because I’m undecided which route to take with offering my services)?

    • Jennifer says:

What a brilliant idea, Art! Thank you for brainstorming out loud!
Let’s connect and brainstorm together – Skype? jenniferctaylor

  8. Dawn says:

I love the look and feel of your site and the energy you add.

I wish there had been services like yours back when I first started. I would have gladly paid for the consults and personal attention you offer.

Keep adding testimonials as you get them. And perhaps, increase your price?

If you consider offering the 30-minute consultation as free, that is your choice. But I put a higher value on my time. Perhaps a step-by-step email letter or video would be an option, with two-way communication going on. Definitely not as “personal,” but could work.

    • Jennifer says:

Thank you, Dawn, for your suggestions.
I had put a value on my time – and so included the 30 minute consultation in the package, but I’ve had several suggestions for a free 1/2 hour consultation. I have been considering it today and realise that it would be difficult to use that as a “list building” exercise …
I’m interested that you suggest raising the price. 😉

  9. Sandy says:

Hi Jennifer, very nice blog you have here. Clean and fresh. Pleasing to the eyes. DFY package is great and definitely a convenient. You may also want to consider putting your stuffs into Udemy training courses. That would give you the additional financial advantage. Wishing you great success.

    To your Abundance, Sandy 🙂

  10. Mike Gardner says:

Hi Jennifer, a good service for the aspiring blogger, not sure what you could put in a 30 min free consultation, if people want to start a blog they will want results. Perhaps you could turn it on its head and offer a free 30 mins consultation 3 months after you help them to set up there blog to iron out any issues/concerns they may have, you may then also be able to upsell other services, SEO, aqdvertising etc

    • Jennifer says:

Hi Mike. Yes, I don’t see how to use a 30 min free consultation. I’m leaning toward keeping it inside the package – so that once someone signs up for a blog setup, we spend the time looking at a few themes, discussing title and taglines, sidebar contents, etc.

I like the idea of a follow-up in the future – thank you
